At the table, there’s always room for another.

For more than 150 years, Mt. Zion has been part of the story of Clarksburg.

Our story continues in worship, in the Word, and in the ways we care for our neighbors. We are a Missionary Baptist church where generations come together to follow Jesus.

From community prayer to celebrating our shared heritage, faith brings us together and calls us to serve.

SAMPLE BIBLE STUDY · PSALM 121

Where does our
help come from?

“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”

PSALM 121:2 · KJV

Read

Read Psalm 121 slowly. Notice how often the psalm describes the Lord as the One who keeps us.

Reflect together

  1. Where do you instinctively look for help when life is uncertain?
  2. What does this passage reveal about God’s care?
  3. How can we be present for someone who needs help this week?

Pray

Lord, help us to trust Your care. Open our eyes to the needs around us, and teach us to walk with our neighbors in love. Amen.

SAMPLE DEVOTIONAL · A MOMENT IN THE WORD

New mercies
for today.

“They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

LAMENTATIONS 3:23 · KJV

A new morning does not always bring easy circumstances. It does offer another opportunity to remember the faithfulness of God.

Take one quiet moment today to name a mercy you might otherwise overlook: a friend who checks in, strength for a small task, or the chance to begin again.

Carry this with you

What is one way you can extend kindness to someone else today?

A prayer for today

Faithful God, thank You for meeting us in this day. Help us to receive Your mercy with gratitude and share it freely. Amen.
